I started as a Java & Python architect and spent several years as a Director of Engineering at a US fintech, owning architecture, delivery and the engineering operating model. On a separate multi-year engagement, I led 60+ engineers across three geographies to deliver a complex, multi-region platform.
Today I work as an independent architect. I help teams modernise onto the cloud, stand up production-grade DevOps and GitOps pipelines, bring security and cost under control, and wire systems together so the business actually moves faster. I care about simple, observable, cost-aware systems that teams can run with confidence.

Multi-Geo Platform Delivery
On a separate multi-year engagement, Shagar led 60+ engineers distributed across three geographies to deliver a complex, multi-region platform — keeping teams in different time zones shipping in sync.
Cloud & DevOps Modernisation
Shagar stood up infrastructure-as-code (Terraform / ARM / CloudFormation) and GitOps delivery with ArgoCD on Kubernetes & OpenShift, with CI/CD across GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps and AWS CodePipeline.
Data Engineering Lead
Shagar led delivery of a Snowflake data platform with dbt Core — modelling, ELT pipelines and tested, documented transformations the analytics team could trust.
Enterprise Integration & Mobile
